Marsh at golden hour, oak-lined avenues, the hush before a ceremony begins in a two-hundred-year-old chapel — this city gives us something new every time, and we never take that for granted.
We adore the Lowcountry, working in the historic streets, waterfront estates, and hidden gardens that make Charleston one of the most storied wedding destinations in the country. Charleston weddings move at their own pace — a little slower, a little more golden.

1. Do wedding photographers in Charleston SC travel to venues across the state?
Yes, we're available throughout South Carolina with no additional travel fees.
2. What is the best time of year for outdoor wedding photos in South Carolina?
We’ve photographed weddings in every season. Spring and Fall are the most amicable seasons as far as cooler weather goes. However, in October you have to plan for hurricane season, which could impact your wedding plans, but with a great wedding planner, those risks can be mitigated. We have also photographed summer weddings in South Carolina, and while heat was an issue, we took every precaution to help with the heat, including having breaks indoors, handheld fans for all the bridal party and family, and a lot of water.
3. Do you have experience shooting at different venues throughout South Carolina?
Yes, we have experience photographing weddings all over the state, including places like Kiawah Island and The Gibbes Museum of Art.
4. What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
We will go with what your planner has in place for a plan B should your wedding be outdoors. Generally, these calls are made days before, and a rain plan is in place, including photo locations.
5. What packages and pricing do you offer, and do you offer engagement sessions?
Our packages start with basic coverage at $13,000 for wedding day-only services and move up from there, including coverage of your rehearsal dinner, welcome party, brunches, after parties, etc. And yes, we offer engagement sessions anywhere in South Carolina and beyond. Just because you're getting married in South Carolina does not mean we have to do your engagement session there either. We will accommodate an engagement session anywhere the couple prefers.
6. Do we need a permit for photos at public beaches or historic sites in South Carolina?
Most places in South Carolina, you do not need permits to take photos. There are many places that require an entrance fee, such as Magnolia Gardens in Charleston; however, we will make sure we know all those ins and outs when planning.
7. How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer in South Carolina?
We have clients book as short as 4-6 months out and as long as 12-18 months out. So it depends on your planning timeline, we make booking photography a priority once you have settled on a date and a venue for your wedding weekend.
8. Can you recommend other local vendors (florists, planners, hair/makeup) in the South Carolina area?
Yes, of course, we have worked with many wonderful vendor teams and would love to recommend great talent to you. Get in contact with us, and we will send along our favorites.
9. Do you offer photography packages that include both a Lowcountry ceremony and a reception at a separate venue?
Yes, regardless of where your ceremony and reception are located, we will work with your planner to make a timeline for the day that accommodates different locations for your ceremony and reception. For instance, we have had Charleston weddings with a 3-minute commute from the ceremony to the reception. We have also had a 45-minute commute, and both have worked without any problems.
10. How long after the wedding will we receive our photos, and do you offer sneak peeks?
We do provide a sneak peek of your rehearsal and wedding day photos within 48 hours of the wedding day; typically, this lands on a Monday after a Saturday event. Our full wedding galleries are delivered within 4-6 weeks of the wedding. Some seasons, like spring and fall, may necessitate a longer wait period, but we will let you know that prior to your event.
