From the loudest joy to the quietest pause. The video that holds it all together. True-to-color. True to the moment. The way it all moves together. The people. The light. We’re here to give shape to the blur. To make something beautiful from what’s already real.
The quiet.
The celebration.
The start of it all.
Long before pixels, there was grain — light moving across a strip of film, imperfect and alive. Super 8 carries the same spirit as our film photography, just in motion. We shoot it because it can't be undone or over-edited.
What's captured stays exactly as it was, flicker and softness and all. There's a texture to it that digital can't replicate and a flicker, a softness, a sense of time passing rather than time frozen. It's the analogue heartbeat behind everything we do: unhurried, tactile, real. Your wedding day, in motion, the way memory actually feels.
What Super 8 Videos Are
Super 8 is film. Real film, shot on a vintage format, with all the warmth and texture that digital video can't quite recreate. It's grainy in the way an old family reel is grainy. Soft in the way memory is soft. Super 8 wedding videos don't look like your wedding day. They look like your wedding day, remembered ten years from now.
We shoot it as a companion to our photography, not a replacement for it. A handful of rolls, woven through your day, capturing the parts that move: the walk down the aisle, the first dance, the toast, the exit. Fragments, not a full film. Moments, not a documentary.
Why We Shoot Super 8
We believe in what's real over what's staged. Super 8 fits that belief perfectly - there are no do-overs, no perfect takes. Just what's actually unfolding, caught as it happens. The format asks for trust. You don't see the footage until it's developed, scanned, and returned to you, weeks later. That waiting is part of it. Part of what makes it feel like something worth keeping.
We're not chasing a trend. We're giving you a texture that digital can't replicate, a home movie made with the same care and eye we bring to every photograph. It's less about polish, more about presence.
What You Get When You Choose Super 8 Wedding Video
A short film. Typically, a few minutes long, built from the rolls shot across your day. No score-heavy production, no forced narrative. Just your wedding, moving, the way it actually happened. Something you'll watch on an anniversary, years from now, and feel exactly what it felt like to be there.
Your footage comes back to you fully edited, scored, and ready to share, or to keep quiet and just for you.
How Super 8 Wedding Videos Work
Super 8 can be booked on its own or as an add-on to our photography collections.
We'll shoot a set number of rolls across your day - we'll talk through timing together so we capture what matters
most to you, without adding anything to your day-of schedule.
Once it's shot, the film is sent out for developing and scanning, and we edit the final piece by hand. Turnaround is about the same as our photography turnaround (4-6 weeks). However because. of the nature of film having to be developed and scanned we cannot provide sneak peeks.
We're Tanya and Harry, a husband-and-wife team with over 15 years behind the lens. We started as still photographers, drawn early on to film - the warmth of it, the way it holds light and color differently than digital ever could. That passion for film in our still photography never left us. Over the years, it grew into something new: a love for film in motion. Super 8 felt like the natural next step, a way to carry the same warmth and honesty we've always chased into something that moves.
Calm and intuitive is our baseline, built over years of working in sync. We don't have to say much to stay aligned - it's a rhythm we've earned. Tanya brings the editorial eye. Harry sees what's unfolding before it fully appears. Together, we get the shot and the feeling behind it.
And then there's Keller. Our son, and the one behind the Super 8 camera. He grew up around this work, watching us chase light and film long before he ever picked up a camera himself. Now he's the one bringing your wedding to life in motion, carrying that same eye for warmth and honesty into every roll he shoots.
We know what it means to trust someone with your memories. Adding film to that trust only deepens it. And we never take that lightly.
Thank you for creating this video for Clayton and I, our families, and future generations. We absolutely adore it! I cried watching it for the first time, and have watched it at least 10 more times since. :’)
I am so appreciative of your time, talent, and kindness!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you love the idea of a keepsake that moves. If you want to hear your vows again, or watch your grandmother laugh at your father's toast one more time. If you're drawn to warmth over perfection, and texture over polish - super 8 wedding videos might be exactly what your wedding day is asking for.
Let's talk about weaving a little movement into your story.
1. Is Super 8 available on its own, or only as an add-on? Both. Super 8 can be booked as a standalone offering, starting at $5,000, or added on to one of our photography collections starting at $4,000. If film is something you know you want, just mention it early on and we'll build it into your day from the start.
2. How much of my wedding will actually be on film? All of it. We shoot Super 8 alongside our photography from start to finish, so the day is covered the whole way through - the getting ready, the ceremony, the reception, all of it. It's not a highlight reel of a few chosen moments. It's your whole day, captured in motion, the way it actually unfolded.
3. How long until I see my footage? 4-6 weeks, the same as our photo collections. The one difference is there are no sneak peeks with Super 8 - the film has to be fully developed before we can even begin editing, so everything comes to you at once, all together, when it's ready.
4. What does the final video look like? A 4-6 minute video, set to music. Super 8 by nature doesn't include narration - there's no audio captured on the film itself, so what you get is purely visual, paired with a score. It's meant to feel like something you'd stumble across in a drawer twenty years from now and be so glad you kept.
5. How do I get my video? Your finished film is delivered through a private online link, ready to stream or download, the same way your photo gallery is delivered. From there, it's yours to keep, share, and pass down however you'd like.
6. Can I choose what moments get filmed? We'll talk it through together before your wedding day. We have a good sense of what tends to hold up beautifully on film, but this is your day, so if there's a moment you know you want captured this way, tell us and we'll make sure it's on the list.
7. Does Super 8 slow down or interrupt the day? Not at all. We shoot it alongside our photography, in real time, without asking you to pause or reset anything. You won't even notice the camera switch. That's the whole point - you stay in the moment, and we handle the rest.
8. Will I still get a traditional wedding video too? We don't offer full videography ourselves. If complete ceremony and speech coverage is something you're wanting alongside your Super 8, we're happy to recommend a videographer we trust who also shoots digital.
