Swan House Wedding
Constructed in 1928 at the end of the Jazz Age, the Swan House missed the Depression by mere months. It was the home of Edward and Emily Inman who built the home for entertaining. Edward Inman was heir to the wealthiest man in Georgia through a cotton brokerage fortune. His interest is in business, politics and racing cars. His wife, Emily a suffragette, and society matriarch. After Edward’s passing at the age of 49 Emily runs the house, her own finances, and the family.
Walking around the property of the Swan House takes you to Europe and the Grand Chateaus of the French countryside. Every turn around the grounds there is more and more beauty. The architecture is striking and the perfect venue for a beautiful Atlanta Wedding.
Our Bride and Groom
Christin and Mike met at a labor day rooftop cookout. Christin had just moved to Atlanta. They started talking about excel spreadsheets, supply chain, and star wars and hit it off. Two weeks later they attended the Elton John concert at Music Midtown. Mike was a complete gentleman and walked Christin home, leaving her at her door with a kiss on the forehead. Together for three years, Mike romantically proposed on the top floor of the Austonian, overlooking the city of Austin.
They always tell each other “you’re my other whole” striving to be the best individual selves so they can be the best “us”. Mike is a Notre Dame chemical engineer grad. He is the CEO of Sylvar Solutions, building software that evaluates commercial real estate. Christin is a Miami University (Oxford Ohio) grad. She works as a packaging consultant for Berlin Packaging. Her clients range from the pharmaceuticals industry to craft beer.
