Fall Wedding Inspiration at Honeysuckle Hill

I loved photographing this wedding inspiration shoot at Honeysuckle Hill in Asheville. A stone’s throw from town is, a wedding and event venue folded into the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. Honeysuckle Hill is a historic family-owned property, that occupies nine acres of untouched countryside. Greeted with sleepy willow trees, split rail fence up the drive and a lily pad pond on either side of the driveway, this venue is a wedding sweet spot in Asheville.

Owners, Chris and Candace Hightower, founder of Engaged Asheville and curator of Mingle Events, found the farm about 5-years ago and knew they wanted to share its charm with others. With a knack for organization, event design, and planning they wanted to continue delivering Mingle’s trademark southern hospitality and upscale design to this exceptional venue.

The Inspiration

The inspiration for the shoot is chic French elegance meets the rustic hills of southern Appalachia in Harvest Golds and Pinks. Hannah, our bride is wearing a Bhldn dress called the Golden Hour Gown, perfect for a fall wedding. And Dave, our groom is wearing a wool herringbone suit from Asos, with a pink floral Dazi tie. All of the vendors that pulled together to make this vision a reality were not only wonderful to work with but some of the best in the business in Asheville.

The Couple

Hannah and Dave are the best Y’all! Harry and I had the absolute joy of capturing their engagement session and wedding in the spring. These two are so wonderfully in love and as you can see in the photos just radiate cheerfulness! The two call Brevard, NC home. Dave works for Carolina Point – A Young Life Camp and Hannah works as a wedding coordinator for The Pretty Place, also known as Fred W. Symmes Chapel. We love these two! And when your clients become friends (who will dress up for a fake wedding for you) you know you have found your dream job.
