There are weddings that I would shoot over and over again without pause. Kalyn and Louis’s Fall Wedding at Runnymede Charleston, SC, is one of those weddings! What a day of perfection for these two. One thing we have loved doing for our clients is photographing all their details the day before. This allows more time on the wedding day to focus on getting ready. On Saturday, I met Kalyn at an Airbnb in St. Phillips Square, and Harry met Louis at The Restoration Hotel. Getting ready is always one of our favorite parts of the wedding day. There is always an air of excited energy that is super fun. Today brought an energy of zen and excited energy which is the perfect combination. Kalyn was a picture of poise and Louis the sweetest groom we have ever met! The combination made for a day of utter perfection.
A First Look Under The Trees
The two met for a first look at Runnymede Charleston, SC, under the live oaks dripping with Spanish moss. Tears, hugs, and laughter surround this precious couple. An emotional couple, especially a groom who knows he’s out-kicked his coverage, is one of our very favorite things! After a tearful first look and family photo session, the couple tied the knot as the sun set under the live oaks. Again, a tear-filled groom waiting for his bride at the end of the aisle, and cheers roaring for the couple after the first kiss and processional.
Cocktail Hour to Tented Reception
A lovely cocktail hour on the lawn between the ruins. Oysters, fried green tomatoes, and deviled eggs passed with a perfectly mixed cocktail are a great start to any celebration. After guests mingle at cocktail hour, they enter a green-tented wedding reception at Runnymede Charleston, SC, that was to die for—a fall dream. Olive green drapery and fall hues everywhere! The couple was toasted, danced with their parents, cut their cake, and partied all night to Atlanta Party Fanatics, keeping everyone on the dance floor.
