Our sweet couple, Lauren and Carter, were married on a beautiful November day in Highlands, North Carolina. Their Old Edwards Wedding was a testament to their love and a lovely beginning to their life together. The fun started Friday evening with a rehearsal dinner at the Ugly Dog Public House in Highlands, North Carolina. An appropriate start, considering Lauren and Carter love their dogs, and incorporated them in many ways throughout the weekend. When they met, they each had two dogs: Lauren, two adorable spaniels, and Carter, two lovable labs. We met the whole family at their engagement session and reunited at their Old Edwards Wedding.
Wedding Pups
Lauren and Carter worked with Toast Events, and their planner, Cate, was the mastermind behind their sweet puppy additions. From a perfect escort card table, where the escort cards were shaped like spaniels and labs with an instructional sign to “fetch your seat.” The sweet pups showing up again in figurines on the wedding cake and fat heads on the dance floor. In real life, including the couple’s pups in family photo time and as flower girls and ring bearers coming down the aisle were essential additions to the day. The couple includes a pet sitter for the puppies for the rest of the evening before they head off to party with their friends.
