Site Visit
I cannot think of another great way to spend a Thursday afternoon than a site visit to one of our favorite venues! The Vineyards at Betty’s Creek is one of the most gorgeous venues in the Asheville area. Located just west of Asheville. I know, I know, you’re like, “west of Asheville? I didn’t know there was anything west of Asheville.” Oh my dear yes! There are so many hidden gems west of Asheville! For example a few other venues we love west of Asheville, check out Hawkesdene and Chestnut Ridge. But back to Betty’s Creek! In the little town of Sylva, NC which is just precious, Betty’s Creek is a must-see Appalachian oasis for all couples.
More About Betty’s Creek
The Vineyards at Betty’s Creek boast an unrivaled view of the Great Smoky Mountains. A breathtaking vineyard property that is ideal for weddings, and other events.
The Lodge’s first life was as a bank barn built into a hillside in rural Pennsylvania. It was purchased, moved, and then reassembled in North Carolina. The floors are wide planks that range from eight to eighteen inches, shaped from trees on the property. The ceilings, walls, and cabinetry all feature reclaimed lumber, and flooring in the bar area and powder bath are reclaimed tiles from the Burgundy region of France.
The Honeymoon Cottage is built over the original 1900s wine cellar. It still features the wood and shelves of its original owners. The Groom’s Barn loft area is in the original barn building, with reclaimed barn wood. The owners of the property have placed hundreds of acres of this mountain oasis into conservation protection to build a strong future for the hundreds of varieties of plants and animals that live in the area.
Concluding Our Visit
As we viewed the property with the site manager Tracy, who is fantastic by the way! Calm and tranquility overwhelm you. The incredible views are indeed unparalleled and it is one of the most gorgeous properties in Western North Carolina. If you are a Bride on the hunt for a gorgeous venue. This one is a must-see!
