After delivering Caroline and Ben’s engagement session photos, she texted to tell me they brought her to tears. Once again I was overwhelmed with gratefulness for this gift and job. So saying that I was excited about their wedding day may be an understatement. Well, Caroline and Ben’s wedding day brought its own set of challenges. Hurricane Ian gave everyone quite a headache. Yippee for being a Charleston Wedding Photographer! Having to plan a wedding in a Hurricane is not for the faint of heart. But low and behold Saturday, October first came and there was not a cloud in the sky. Such a blessing for this sweet couple. Caroline and Ben both arrived at The Parsonage to get ready before meeting for their first look.
First Look and Ceremony
Caroline and Ben shared the sweetest first look in front of a quintessential pink “Charleston” building across from St. Johannes Lutheran Church. After their first look, they made their way back to The Parsonage courtyard for photos with family. They share their vows at St. Johannes Lutheran Church before an intimate group of family and friends. The two kick their wedding celebration off starting with a sword exit as they are both in the U.S. Navy. They then make their way from the church steps down Hasell street in a second line over to The Parsonage! Where armed with custom cocktails and delicious Hors d’oeuvres guests celebrate Ben and Caroline with laughter, dancing, and dining.
After a few hours of celebration, the couple makes their way through their cheering friends to a Charleston Pedicab as their getaway! Scroll down through the images below to see how wonderful the day was!
