What a whirlwind weekend in the best way possible. Margaret and Josh had all the perfect plans for the perfect wedding weekend in Cashiers and Highlands, North Carolina. Queue catastrophic flooding and rain from Hurricane Helene. Ravaging Western North Carolina. The couples Chattooga Club wedding was very much threatened.
Will the event go on with all the challenges? Including the tent company backing out. Major shout out to Margaret and Josh’s incredible planning team Asheville Event Co. for making all the changes.
Wedding Weekend
The weekend started Thursday for us as I drove the area making sure the roads were passable. We found that the gas stations were all out of gas so that was a must have for coming back the next day. But we we made our way up the mountain roads camera gear and chainsaw in tow (just incase). And the weekend went off without a hitch. Starting with a bridal brunch Friday at Old Edwards Inn. A tearful and very thankful Margaret showed her gratitude to all her friends and family for coming for the weekend amidst the chaos.
Tears aside, joy ahead. Margaret and Josh’s wedding weekend was nothing short of amazing. The weekend was a time of happiness and celebration, from their rehearsal dinner at the Cullasaja Club to their perfect church wedding at Cashiers United Methodist Church and reception at the Chattooga Club.
