John C Campbell Folk School Engagement Session
Hannah and Dakota are an absolute dream couple. I loved photographing their sweet playful personalities at the John C Campbell Folk School for their engagement session. We love the folk school it has so many beautiful locations to offer for photographing our amazing clients. This sweet location is in the mountains of North Carolina. You can come to the folk school to learn all kinds of trade crafts. From woodworking and pottery to basket weaving they offer many classes. Definitely championing community over competition.
The Story
Hannah and Dakota have a unique love story. They met while Hannah was looking for someone to replace her cracked windshield. After finding an autobody shop she took her car in. The new windshield was installed but they found it too has a crack in it as well. The new one would take about two weeks to be delivered. After waiting the two weeks she dropped the car off early one morning to have the new windshield installed. However, the new one had blown over from the wind and completely shattered.
Enter Dakota, he was asked to call Hannah and let her know the bad news. She picked up her car and immediately checked Facebook to see if Dakota was single – he was! He sent her a Facebook message and friend request and they messaged back and forth for five days. And then he asked Hannah on a date. He picked Hannah up and they went to lunch at a favorite Mexican restaurant. They spent two and a half hours talking about goals and dreams. Of course, the connection was so great. That day we went from strangers to best friends.
