A colorful fête in the North Carolina Mountains, what a joy! This Hawkesdene wedding was brimming with all the Summer Colors. We are overwhelmed to have been a part of Audrey and Pierce’s gorgeous day! A day filled with celebration, family, friends, and love! Want to know one of my favorite things about Audrey and Pierce’s wedding? The flowers! Hands down the most gorgeous flowers and DIY! Say what?! That’s right, you heard me. Audrey’s Aunts put together her stunning flower arrangements. The flowers were sourced from Flower Moxie and Fifty Flowers and I must say I am impressed. I had a field day with all of their pretty details with all these gorgeous blooms.
A Colorful Ceremony
A few of my other favorite moments were when Duke the groom’s family lab and the ring bearer fell asleep during the ceremony, he woke up to deliver the rings though! What a precious pup! The bride’s mom read from a favorite children’s book The Velveteen Rabbit.
I love this sweet quote from the book:
“Real isn’t how you are made,” said the Horse. “It’s a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real.”
Oh man, all the tears for that sweet moment!
A Fun Reception
After a gorgeous ceremony along the driveway at Hawkesdene the guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the pavilion and waited out a tiny drizzle. Guests had their choice of three signature cocktails, the Paloma, French 75, or Pinn’s cup. All of which looked yummy and refreshing. Dining al fresco, basking in the late evening sun while enjoying the most endearing toast from the brides, dad, maid of honor, and best man! After a lovely dinner, the crowd was dancing and partying into the late hours. Ending with a fun and unique send-off of bells and ribbons. We just adore this Wedding full of Summer Colors!
