Summer in Western North Carolina can bring unpredictable weather! When Abby and Daniel were originally supposed to meet us for their engagement session the forecast called for heavy rain. Planning to meet in Highlands was thwarted with heavy rain and thunderstorms. We rescheduled for a different day and the same thing rain rain rain. But that rain was just south of Asheville so we decided to relocate to the Biltmore. Abby and Daniel did not really want the house or architecture, but more of a nature feel for their session. And Biltmore did not disappoint! In fact, there are several Romantic Biltmore Locations that don’t include the house.
We start at a pretty field with a lot of green, then make our way through a bamboo (river cane) forest to the cutest raw timber bridge. Then we made our way to the bass pond where there is a bridge that overlooks the pond and a waterfall. The waterfall was unfortunately not on the day we were there, but we dipped our toes in the creek instead. I just love Abby’s choice of pink dress and Daniel’s blazer for their second outfit. Keeping it casual in jeans and shorts for their first outfit. To round out our Romantic Biltmore Locations we end at a beautiful overlook of the mountains. I’d say all in all a great session in lieu of all the rescheduling and location changes.
