These two! Oh my goodness we had so much fun with Kathleen and John during their Mountaintop Engagement Session at Craggy Gardens near Asheville, North Carolina. We started in a hidden spot off the trail a little bit laughing and getting to know each other. Kathleen wore the most adorable outfits starting with the cutest jeans and white sweater! Then we made our way up to the Craggy Pinnacle. For this portion of the shoot, Kathleen donned a gorgeous emerald green dress. And I must say wow it was the perfect green dress!
As high school sweethearts, John and Kathleen met when they were 14 years old. They started dating at 16 and maintained a long-distance relationship through 6 years of college. Kathleen is a social worker and John is a physician. She loves how logical and witty he is. And he loves that she is generous and intentional.
John planned to propose at Craggy Gardens on the Blue Ridge Parkway a year ago. But in true Asheville fashion, the road was closed due to ice. We decided to try again for their engagement and lucked out this time around. The parkway was open for the perfect session! The sunset over the mountains was truly magical and made for the perfect backdrop for Kathleen and John’s sweet love story.
