A dream afternoon at Middleton Place? Yes, please! My sweet friend Tara and I met up with Luxury Charleston Wedding Photographer Clay Austin for an editorial at Middleton Place. We also met with the ever-lovely Colby to photograph her in two gorgeous Emily Korarski wedding gowns. At Middleton, there are so many gorgeous places to take photos…especially for a bride and groom. We started in a grove of trees dripping in Spanish moss. A lively and colorful bouquet provided by Festoon was perfection for this bridal session. It was a little chilly in Charleston, something I am not used to! In fact, Tara and I kept saying, “who broke Charleston?” When I think of Charleston I think of warm sunny days with warm breezes. But this day was overcast and chilly. However that most definitely did not stop us from creating some magical imagery!
A Second Bridal Gown
After we left the mossy trees we made our way to the Butterfly Lakes where we had Colby jog up and down the hill a few times. Just wait until you scroll down and see those images…holy moly! So much fun to create these images. After we finished at the Butterfly Lakes we made our way around to the house and the barn to capture a few more images in our second Emily Korarski gown. Both gowns could be worn with or without a cape…the second cape was my favorite of the two. We had an incredible afternoon meandering around Middleton Place photographing some gorgeous bridal portraits.
