Our theme continues with a rainy April. Sunday I attended a styled shoot with the rain pouring the whole drive there. But thankfully it subsided a little when we began to shoot at the Hiwassee Farm Venue in Delano Tennessee. A quaint and rustic barn sits on the property. The barn is surrounded by mature trees with low lying branches that open to a gorgeous view of rolling fields. Even though it’s a rustic venue, Hiwassee Farm, has beautiful chandeliers that hang with twinkly lights to bring a softness to the barn that is just so pretty.
I loved meeting Ayliś and Caleb our first couple. The two have been married for a year and are so sweet! Ayliś is a preschool teacher and Caleb is the discipleship director of a church in Chickamauga GA. They are both still in college and Ayliś is working on a degree in Biology and Caleb is working on a degree in civil engineering.
Both of their parents were missionaries in South America. Caleb was in Costa Rica and Ayliś lived in Peru. Ayliś and her family were in Costa Rica for a year to go to language school. In that year, Caleb and Ayliś lived in the same area but never met. Once she moved to Peru, she went back to Costa Rica to visit one of my friends and the friend I was visiting happened to be one of Caleb’s very best friends so he introduced us.
That was Caleb’s last week in Costa Rica before moving with his family back to the US after living there for 13 years. Ayliś was very fortunate to have met him before he moved! After that, the two started chatting on Facebook and became good friends for a few years before dating.
In December of 2016, Ayliś and Caleb went on a trip together back to Costa Rica to go backpacking and see old friends. While we were there, he took her to a camp called LaCumbre that they had both been to while living in Costa Rica (but never together). He tookAyliś up to a waterfall and popped the question.
Ayliś and Caleb both love rock climbing, hiking with their Saint Bernard puppy, Kodak, kayaking, snowboarding, and outdoorsy stuff. They both also love gardening and anything to do with marine life and are currently building our future home ourselves!
Our Second couple Hannah and Ryan were also amazing. Ryan works is an information technology technician and Hannah is an EMT. The two met in college their senior year when Hannah was trying to set Ryan up with her best friend. Ryan and Hannah are both musicians and love to make music in their free time. She is a singer who plays guitar and Ryan plays drums. They like to play R&B and pop music.
