Eiffel Tower Engagement Session
So how many of you knew that in May the Eiffel Tower celebrated her 130th year of looking over the city of Paris? When it was finished in 1889 the tower marked the 100th anniversary of the French revolution. It took 2 years, 2 months and 5 days to build. Today over 7 million people a year come to Paris, France to see the Eiffel Tower. Check out my story about my first ever Eiffel tower Engagement Session!
During my trip to Paris, I got to shoot at the Eiffel tower several times and it was just as majestic and beautiful as I imagined. When I first arrived in Paris I dropped my bags at the apartment we were staying and jumped on the subway. Know the rest of my week would be super busy I went to see old friends who are now living in Paris. We chatted and I got to meet their sweet baby girls.
The Connection
So fast forward a week and through these sweet friends, I meet Nadia and Rafik. A friend of a friend sort of situation. This super sweet couple met in Switzerland where Nadia’s family is located and where Rafik currently lives. He comes into Paris often to visit Nadia. They met at church in Switzerland and will marry there in a few months.
We met Saturday in Montmartre and these two were shy at first soon warmed up to being photographed, like all of our couples of course. And even with a slight language barrier, we made magic until the rain came. We met again the following morning at the Trocadéro early before I caught my flight back home. I could not think of a better way to end my time in Paris.
Enjoy some of my favorite images from this sweet session and stay tuned for more of my time in Paris, coming to the blog!
