Dahlonega Wedding Celebration
Romance is surely in the air with this Blue inspiration shoot. Shades of blue set against the perfect backdrop of a Dahlonega Wedding Venue, The 1888 House. From the bride’s tulle wedding skirt to the groom’s blue floral tie every blue detail of inspiration came together perfectly. I love how some of the blues of this shoot are very soft and feminine but also pair beautifully with the more masculine navy blue features to create a perfect combination.
The 1888 House
The 1888 house’s decor paired wonderfully with touches of gold like the interior ceilings, brass fixtures, as well as the blue front porch ceiling. A beautiful, historic home located moments from downtown Dahlonega. Records show the home was built in 1888 and has housed past University of North Georgia presidents as well as notable Dahlonega residents, including a judge and The Dahlonega Nugget’s first editor.
The home was acquired by Catherine and Johnny Ariemma in 2016 and restored to its former glory. A friend of the family, Dr. Manny Carvalho, came across fascinating rare documents that discovered the home was not actually built in 1888 but in 1883! As with much Dahlonega folklore, the family maintained that the home remains The 1888 House. The couple hopes that The 1888 House is filled with happy memories from special events for many years to come.
Happy Couples
The first couple Ashton and Drake met at work. Both nurses at the Burn ICU Unit in Augusta Georgia. They both enjoy traveling and are very competitive with each other in anything. A good movie or seeing live bands keep them happy. The two have been modeling together for a year and a half.
The Second Couple Cassidy and Mason met in 3rd grade and stayed friends all through high school. Once she graduated cosmetology school in Nashville she and Mason met again and dated for two years. Mason proposed that summer during his families beach trip while taking family photos. The two will celebrate their one year anniversary in November. They love spending time outside, taking the dogs hiking, fishing, and spending time with their families.
