Blue Ridge Parkway Engagement

Any day in the mountains is a good day! Cooler temperatures, gorgeous views, and my lovely couples to photograph is the perfect day for me. I met Alyssa and Dakota for their Blue Ridge Parkway Engagement session and we quickly found that we all love to play board games! And how much they love their sweet puppy! As we chatted we made our way up the trail to Black Balsam Knob, and the breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, then headed down to take a few more on the parkway. We had a great time. I have to say thank you for trusting me when I had you guys kissing on the side of the road. haha.

How they met

Dakota and Alyssa met online. While figuring out their first date location they discovered that they live in the same apartment complex. Talk about a small world! They never ran into each other. And they even attended the same chili competition and never met. After three dates they knew they were the ones for each other. And both love learning and science.

Their second date was hiking at a local park. After finishing the trail, they talked for three more hours and decided they should get something to eat. When Dakota proposed he re-created their second date by going back to the same park. After hiking around for a little while he found the perfect private spot to ask…the car! haha. Of course, Alyssa said yes and then they went to the same restaurant that night for dinner. “It was perfect for us,” Alyssa says.
