The longer I am a wedding photographer the more I live for when people do things differently. Back in the summer, I helped my dear friend Leigh photograph a wedding at The Ridge in Asheville, North Carolina. One of our favorite venues. Not only are the views at The Ridge unparalleled so is the staff, who makes every couple’s dreams come true at an Asheville Mountain Wedding.
So back in July, I met Leigh for this wedding. She told me it was going to be a little different but I was not expecting how incredible it was. First, the bride and groom arrived and went straight to a picnic cocktail hour. This cocktail hour was what summer picnic dreams are made of. Parasols were everywhere, fresh beverages were on tap, laughter and celebration abounded. It was a joy to behold. And a visual feast during their Asheville Mountain Wedding.
Bride Wears Custom Blue Gown at Asheville Mountain Wedding
The bride is wearing a gorgeous custom blue dress as she and her husband enter the party. After about an hour the two call everyone to gather around them. They exchange their vows very casually with the gorgeous mountain backdrop. After a few minutes of vows, rings, and a blessing from their parents the couple shares a first kiss. Everyone then makes their way over to the Chateau at The Ridge where an outdoor reception awaits. Tables billowing with gorgeous flowers and amazing food served to all their guests. Such a special Asheville Mountain Wedding meal followed by the toasting of the couple. Then a bluegrass band serenades everyone into dancing and partying into the night.
