If there is a heaven in the state of Georgia it is at The Cloister at Sea Island. Visiting Sea Island a few weeks ago was so serene and zen. Walking around the property at The Cloister is like walking around a public library. It is as quiet as a mouse and it’s incredibly relaxing. There is the quaintest chapel right outside of the hotel which is so pretty, perfect for a Sea Island Wedding. Even in the middle of July, it would be the perfect location for a wedding ceremony. The chapel is enveloped in thick trees with a cool breeze that blows through. At every turn, there is a picturesque and inviting courtyard!
The grandeur of the back of the hotel is just beautiful as well. With a grand staircase that leads up to a back patio. We loved viewing the library and the oversized chess board in yet another quaint courtyard. In the grand foyer of the hotel, there are massive fireplaces and big cozy couches. It’s fun to observe people having such a great and relaxing time.
We ate dinner at the Tavola restaurant which did not disappoint. “Sea Island’s beloved Tavola features equal parts bright Italian flair and warm Southern charm. An authentic Italian experience that combines traditional Italian ingredients and flavors in new and creative dishes.” We truly love the ambiance at The Cloister at Sea Island and cannot wait to return.
