If you are in New York looking for a New York City Wedding Venue. 620 Loft and Garden, which is located in the heart of New York at Rockefeller Center, is a must-see Wedding Venue. With an epic view of the city and a dramatic view of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, it is quite the gem. Tranquility, charm, and romance are all words that come to mind with this space. Stepping off the elevator from Fifth Avenue the indoor loft is a blank canvas to create anything you can imagine. Covered wall to wall with large windows that accommodate a lot of natural light that floods through the space. Walking out to the rooftop garden is perfectly manicured for every event that highlights the sweeping views of the city.
The editorial that we photographed here a few weeks ago was breathtaking. The views of New York City paired with any well-designed event make it that more wow-worthy. And wow is the perfect word for this editorial. Wedding planner Britt Jones designed a gorgeous, modern editorial to die for. Focusing on every nuanced detail, Britt went above and beyond. From the bride in her stunning caped Marchesa gown to all the table details and florals, this editorial was simply breathtaking. We loved the modern feel of a classic black and white color palette paired with pops of medallion yellow. These two combined make for a timeless vibe with a flair of fall right in the middle of New York City. And who doesn’t love the city in the fall?
The Details
Let’s chat for a minute about the details. Starting with a beautiful invitation suite styled on a textured background which brings visual interest to this classic black and white suite. Plus the added detail of the envelope liner, which brings more interest but highlights the black and white theme. And I love the black line drawing of the city on the actual invitation. Also, keeping with the theme a pair of black lace Bella Belle heels bring some drama to the details while staying on theme.
Let’s move on to the florals! Oh, the florals were to die for! One Flower By L knocked it out of the park! Stepping out into the garden meeting two fully flowered arches dripping with greenery and pops of golden blooms. Next arriving at our tablescape, set in a square fashion, which we love, is covered and surrounded by florals. Black and white plates and gold silverware, keeping with the classic theme. One of my favorite touches was the name tags hanging from the champagne glasses! And I loved how the menu designs coordinate with the invitation suite.
Attire
Our bride and groom were stunning in a classic black tux from The Black Tux and a beautiful Marchesa gown. Both outfits fitting the very classic vibe of the editorial. The bridal gown was just perfect for this dreamy rooftop affair. The beaded bodice and gorgeous long-sleeve cape with beaded and studded shoulders matched with the very soft romantic tulle was the ideal gown! Our Model Maggie donned a gorgeous soft dewy makeup look with dramatic eyes and hair in a beautifully swept up low bun, again matching this classic look to perfection.
Vision From the Planner
While being in one of the most iconic wedding venues in the city, it is crucial that you pick elements that compliment its stunning gardens and views. The inspiration of the shoot was a secret garden black-tie affair. We chose a color palette with creams, golds, and a signature pop of black. The black served as a nod to the Great Gatsby era which is so widely celebrated in New York. The day left you imagining what an elevated real wedding this would have been.
