Last Saturday I had the honor of participating in a styled Georgia Wedding in Lawrenceville. The wonderful Victoria Miller, event stylist, and owner of Decor By The Day was the host. She found her true passion a few years ago coordinating weddings. While coordinating weddings Victoria became aware of the need for an event rental company in the north Georgia area. So she started Decor By The Day. She has had the pleasure of expanding beyond North Georgia to all over the Southeast. When she is not coordinating events she is spending time with her husband and daughter. If you are looking for a coordinator or event rental for your Georgia Wedding, Victoria is your gal!
Victoria’s goal for the shoot was to show something that would be classic with a touch of vintage for this venue that literally used to be an old train station. The Historic Train Depot in Lawrenceville is a historical building that is an annex of Gwinnett School of Music, and houses concerts, music lessons, and events. I popped across the street to a gorgeous stacked stone building with the bride and groom, that at the time I did not know was also an event venue called 550 Trackside, a restored historic event facility. All the historic charm of downtown Lawrenceville fit right in with the shoot.
Every detail of the shoot was gorgeous. The flowers were amazing with the main bridal bouquet featuring a stunning King Protea, a showstopper for sure. The models were wonderful to work with, make-up artist and hair stylist did amazing jobs. Every vendor really brought something special to the table. The cake by Cake Envy had artwork on both sides making it able to be showcased from every angle. There was something very special about the group of vendors that were more than just vendors they were artists in their craft. All the vendors are linked below the images. Take a second to check them out and show them some love.
Our Bride Model Maggie with the most gorgeous smile is an account manager for LogoNation, one of the largest promotional marketing companies in America. Erik our groom model is a senior at UGA for Theatre and acting. Modeling for 2.5 years, he is the president of the student modeling agency at UGA. He loves to skateboard, longboard, and rock climb. Haley, the high fashion bride, is a Junior at the University of North Georgia. She wants to go to nursing school. She loves to hike, go to the gym and visiting her family in Athens, Georgia.
Katelyn, the bridesmaid model, has been modeling for two years. She will soon graduate with a biology and psychology degree and plans on attending vet tech school. An animal lover, she has worked at a vet clinic since she was 14. She grew up doing dance, piano, and competing in world level horse shows. And last but not least Bentley, a cuddly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, with a great personality. Bentley is from Cavaliers By Crumley In Lula, Georgia. He is a year old and has a brother named Snickers.
