A Spring Mooresville Wedding
At first, when chatting with Amanda and her mom Debbie, their wedding was planned at their home on Lake Norman, in Mooresville, NC. But some last minute changes due to a lot of mud led them to book the Johnson Carriage House & Meadows for Amanda and Gabriel’s Mooresville Wedding. Saturday was a perfect sunny day, there was not a cloud in the sky. Which is pretty amazing considering all the rain we have had.
When we arrived we were met by Amanda’s sweet mom waving from the balcony with a big ‘ole smile. I made my way up to the bridal suite which was full of laughter to say hello and meet the gals. And what do I see but the gorgeous Amanda, our bride, with blue hair! Yes, amazingly gorgeous blue hair. She was stunning. I just love when brides have a personality and flair all on their own. And Amanda knocked it out of the park!
Gabriel and Amanda are a fun loving adventurous couple that likes to scuba dive and ride motorcycles. Amanda is a hairstylist and Gabriel is a supervisor for McLane Food Services. The two were set up by Amanda’s aunt and hit it off right away. Gabriel proposed by inviting her whole family over to watch a video he and Amanda’s dad made together, where Gabriel confessed his love for her and asked her to marry him.
About the Johnson Carriage House
Even though there was a last minute change in venue Amanda and Gabriel found the Johnson Carriage House & Meadows, an event facility near Lake Norman. Its European style stable makes for a gorgeous wedding venue. Owned by Dr. Tony Johnson and his wife, Lillian, who both grew up in the state of Kentucky. Having a passion for horses, it was their dream to one day own a horse farm. That horse farm now also serves the Lake Norman community with a unique event venue.
I cannot get over how perfectly them, Amanda and Gabriel’s wedding was. And the most chill couple! We are forever grateful for couples like Amanda and Gabriel who are so laid back and fun loving. They just went with the flow and were happy the whole time. We had a blast celebrating their union with their family and friends. My very favorite thing about the wedding reception was one, the food, haha. But for real, I loved how much Gabriel and Amanda are loved and supported by their family and friends. It was so evident. The food was amazing too. Food Junkee killed it with their amazing food and their show stopper of a donut tower!
