Last weekend we had the joy and privilege of being a part of Harry’s brother’s wedding. Cole and his bride Courtney were married in Nashville, TN at a super cool venue called Ruby. This was a bit of a change for Harry and I. Generally we are behind the cameras. This time we got a reminder of what being in a wedding is like. Harry was the best man, and my little Penny was the most beautiful flower girl you have ever seen.
With her bouncy blond curls and flower crown, she made it down the aisle without a hitch. Walking toward her dad, tears welling up in his eyes. Quite frankly, I am not ready for that day in the least. Good thing I have about 20 or more years to prepare.
Harry being the best man left me in charge of all three of our little people which is difficult to juggle. I will be honest, and not without help from the grandparents and cousins. I was sweating most of the day trying to keep big brother from acting crazy and climbing on things.
When it was time for the ceremony I had to get Penny down the aisle with Tess on my hip and Keller already sitting up front hoping he did not do anything crazy. I tried my best to keep little mouths from talking and crying with candy that oh too soon ran out. All did well even with our little one fussing because when your a year old sitting still and being quiet is the last thing on your mind.
About halfway down the post, you will see a few photos of Penny with her dad. Oh my goodness, how he loves this little girl. I get all teary eyed myself to know she will be cherished by her daddy all of her life and how well she will be loved by him. I see a few more weddings in her future as a flower girl and her sweet little sister is not far behind her. Enjoy the photos below of this our precious little flower girl and her entourage! And of course the beautiful bride and groom.
