McGuire’s Millrace Farm Gorgeous Blush Wedding
When I met Dilyn and Zachary, I just knew they were meant for each other. So excited to spend the rest of their lives together! They were giddy in love as we sat in the Starbucks chatting about all their wedding plans and details. And when the day finally came everything was worth the waiting and planning. Every detail of Dilyn and Zachary’s McGuire’s Millrace Farm wedding was perfect. From the blush and navy hues, Dilyn’s simply elegant flowy dress and huge infectious smile, to the sweet teary-eyed moments shared between Dilyn and Zachary. The perfect day!
I loved Dilyn and her dad’s first look together, she was beaming and her dad’s sweet response was just perfect. Tears flowing and then erupting in laughter.
Dilyn and Zachary shared their first look on a hill overlooking the rolling fields and the Carolina mountains. The two were married through laughs and tears, sharing their own vows, under the rows and rows of beautiful river birch trees. Even though there were clouds most of the day the sun peeked out during the ceremony and it was perfect. After the couple said, “I do” they celebrated with their friends and family, dancing and parting the night away with a grand sparkler exit.
How they met
Dilyn and Zachary met in 2014 at Piedmont College. The two had an instant connection when they met to study for a final exam together. With Dilyn being in her second year of grad school and Zachary finishing his bachelor’s degree the next semester their paths did not cross much. Until one day she went to watch a family member play basketball and Zach was playing in the next game and Dilyn’s friend convinced her to stay and watch Zach. It wasn’t long after that they went on their first date, then the first kiss and slowly fell in love!
How he proposed
Zachary and Dilyn were on Thanksgiving vacation in Sarasota Beach. After getting her families blessing, Dilyn’s sisters helped Zachary plan a proposal on the beach during their vacation. On November 22nd Dilyn’s family planned family photos on the beach and when it was requested that she go change out of her holey jeans she came down and everyone was gone, but her mom and dad were there and walked her out to the beach.
All the way down the beach there were signs that said, “Ever since I laid eyes on you I knew you were different. I am so grateful to have you in my life! You’re not only my best friend but the love of my life. I can’t thank you enough for pushing me every day to be a better person and always being there for me in a time of need. Our life together has been one great adventure, I can’t wait to go on more adventures with you by my side….. Especially the one that comes next…” With Dilyn crying her eyes out, Zachary got down on one knee, she knew her heart would be forever in good hands and she said “Yes.”
About the couple
Dilyn is a Coordinator of Administrative Support at a college in North Georgia. And Zachary is a roofer for his family business at their roofing company in Hayesville, North Carolina. Who actually put a roof on our house before we even knew each other…small world. They love exploring, helping out in the community, playing sports, playing with their dogs and loving life with each other.
We are honored to have been a part of your day! And wish you two all the best.
