To be honest, when family sessions are good they are good and when they are not they are not. Today was a good family session day! This family session at The Biltmore in Asheville North Carolina is one of my favorite family sessions to date! Elizabeth is a sweet industry friend and we often trade our family sessions and I love it! She and her husband David have the sweetest kiddos and it was a joy to spend the afternoon with them. Elizabeth and David are owners at Almond Leaf Studios in Asheville, North Carolina. They have two precious kiddos whose smiles light up the lens.
This family session also marked my first family session completely shot on film, which was exciting! Most digital cameras are faster than film cameras. It makes it easier to capture kids who are generally always in motion. haha. It’s hard to beat the lovely skin tones and grain of film though! And how gorgeous are these family shots on film? I just love the tones and am so excited with how they came out. If I were a family photographer I think I might switch to photographing families all on film. But before I get ahead of myself, check out some of my favorite images from their session.
