When you start a wedding day at The Hummingbird Lounge of the Old Edwards Inn, with custom-smoked old fashions, you’ve got to know it’s going to be a good day! Helping my friend Austin photograph this wedding was a joy. Seeing the amazing couple who are so in love and commit to loving each other forever is the best. And the design for this wedding is stunning as well. The pastel blooms were perfect for this Elegant Late Summer Fête at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, NC.
First Look & Ceremony
The couple shared the sweetest first look on the bridge overlooking the pod at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn. After a few portraits, we made our way up to the orchard. Yes! A real apple orchard, which is quite magical. The Orchard makes the perfect backdrop for family photos. The clouds were looming all day threatening rain. The rain held off until the ceremony, which was hosted in the Orchard House at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn. The bridal party and the bride made their way into the ceremony under a sea of umbrellas. You’ll have to see it for yourself below, but it was pretty spectacular.
After a sweet ceremony, the couple took a turn around the property and made their way to a gorgeous reception! The Farm at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands has a very grand room for receptions where the sky is the limit as far as design goes. This couple had gorgeous colorful fabric draping in the middle of the room, and tables lined with candles and mini lamps. This design created the most lovely dining atmosphere!
