We are channeling some serious Cinderella vibes with this Downtown Charleston session. I had this gorgeous vintage dress hanging in my room a few days before the shoot and my girls both pounced into the room and said, “Mama what’s the Cinderalla dress for?” It’s definitely the perfect shade of Cinderella blue.
The day before I got to Charleston it was Sunny and seventy degrees. When we arrived it was fifty at best. Jamie was such a trooper and braved the cold. We captured some pretty great shots of this sumptuous vintage blue dress from Century Girl Vintage. Century Girl Vintage opened in 2014. Showcasing rare, pristine, hand-selected garments from throughout the decades sourced around the world is what they do best! See another Century Girl treasure in our Palais Royal Engagement Session in Paris, France.
Our new favorite Charleston florist Roadside Blooms created a gorgeous bouquet and a few stunning floral jewelry pieces that were a lovely compliment to this stunning blue party dress. And I have to say I really hope that I see more floral jewelry in the future on our brides. It’s simply a stunning way to add interest to your wedding day attire.
Jamie and I spent the afternoon in the French Quater amongst the colorful walls and cobblestone streets tippy-toeing doing the Charleston Shuffle. I truly love walking around Downtown Charleston, the character and old-world feel is just a dream. Like the Pink House (circa 1690) a historic house and art gallery at 17 Chalmers Street in Charleston, South Carolina. One of the oldest buildings in South Carolina and is the second oldest residence in Charleston after the Rhett House. It’s the second to last photo in our post and oh so charming.
