Columbia SC wedding venue

Monday I drove over to Columbia, of course, stopping at Chick-Fil-A on my way for lunch. It was a great drive with my friend Mariah tagging along. It was fun to have a gal pal along for the trip. Columbia SC wedding venue, The Thomas House and Garden is a sweet little house with a lot of vintage charm.

The Thomas House is a beautiful backdrop for any SC couple.

From the gorgeous Victorian exterior, the blue front porch ceiling, the grand stairway in the entrance, the fireplaces in every room to the beautiful fixtures all over the house, its a perfect place for an intimate wedding. The house was constructed in 1906 by Mr. Robert Charleton Thomas. And was added to the National Historic Register in 1970. The Victorian architecture is a bit unusual for the surrounding puritan area. A southern event venue that will charm your socks off.

Wedding Inspiration in Blue and Mustard

When I think of fall I do picture orange and red leaves on trees. But fall weddings don’t have to have a burgundy theme. I love love love blue and mustard for a fall wedding. Once again Heather Benge with Styled Shoots Across America knocked the styling for this shoot out of the park. And Sarah with Intrigue Designs made the most beautiful floral arrangements complete with white pumpkins. Every detail of this vintage-inspired shoot was beautiful. The Couples

Our gorgeous models were wonderful to work with. The first couple Kennedy and Michael met working in the sound booth at their church youth group. The two had been dating for five years when he proposed. While taking a trip with Kennedy’s family to New York City Michael proposed at the top of Rockefeller Center. They like to watch the office and play with their 3-month-old German Shepherd puppy together. Both work with Kennedy’s parents who have owned the Wedding Festivals wedding shows and the Gassaway Mansion for almost 30 years now. The two love working in the wedding industry and promoting community over competition!

The Second Couple, Ashton and Drake met at work. Both nurses at the Burn ICU Unit in Augusta Georgia. They both enjoy traveling and are very competitive with each other in anything. A good movie or seeing live bands keep them happy. The two have been modeling together for a year and a half.
