Okay if you are in Washington DC and getting any photos done you will want to visit all the pretty places beforehand. A lot of people choose the iconic National Mall, which is stunning. But I think my favorite place to photograph a couple in Washington DC will forever be the Supreme Court building. First, it’s not like Fort Knox, which is what it’s like over at the Capitol building. But over at the Supreme Court building, it’s open and no one guards the stairs. There are also the most magnificent and magical columns to get lost in. But overall Capitol Hill Washington DC is one of the prettiest places in the spring.
We met Sara and Bernard at Capitol Hill Washington DC for their engagement session a few weeks ago. And goodness it’s so pretty! And to boot these two are just so in love, it made our job so easy. We started at the capitol building where everything is gorgeous and so perfectly manicured. I loved all the blooming trees, it felt like walking through a garden. Then we made our way over to the Supreme Court building. This building might be my favorite in DC because of its immaculate columns. We did a little snuggling and dancing here. There is also a very quaint garden on the side of the Supreme Court building. After that sweet spot, we finished up by the river and the Lincoln memorial.
To say these two are a dream is an understatement. We had so much fun chatting and connecting with them. I seriously cannot wait for their wedding day! See some of our favorite shots from their Capitol Hill Washington DC engagement session below.
