I have to start by saying the chemistry between these two is off the charts! Inspiration for this Asheville Elopement editorial came from a traditional elopement. These days I am seeing more and more “elopements” that are like micro weddings. But the true definition of eloping is, “to run away secretly in order to get married.” So in that vein, I decided to create an editorial that truly depicts an old fashion elopement. You really just need four people max! The couple, the officiant, and the photographer (of course)!
Rainey wore a gorgeous Barbara Kavchok pantsuit from London and Lace with a gorgeous trailing train. Zack donned a pair of burgundy trousers and handsome leather suspenders. The idea was to combine beautiful couture styling with a down to earth free spirit combination (the perfect Asheville vibe). A lovely small bouquet from Flora with pops of fall color completes the look.
We started our session in Pack Square in downtown Asheville! The heart of the city. And from there made our way over to Market Street, a quaint brick-paved street in the heart of downtown. Stopping in at Sovereign Remedies for a few cocktails to celebrate the “elopement.”
So overall, what we wanted to feature in this editorial is that elopements can be as fabulous as a full wedding. You can add all the pretty details, and still keep it simple! We loved adding in the celebration cocktails at the end of the session to have another dimension and detail to the day!
