Can we talk about this gorgeous garden? Right in the middle of Asheville, there is an oasis on the banks of Reed Creek. The Asheville Botanical Gardens is a beautiful garden encircled by serene walking paths. The Botanical Gardens at Asheville is a 10-acre independent, non-profit botanical garden devoted to the study and advancement of the native plants and habitats of the Southern Appalachians. In addition to its central mission of preservation of the native plants, the Botanical Gardens has always placed great emphasis on research and education.
Aubigny and Levi tied the knot with the changing leaves falling and their families surrounding them. The day started with what seemed like unending rain. I watched the radar like a hawk. Seeing the percent chance of rain, drop from 80 percent change to a 10 percent had me doing the happy dance for this sweet couple.
Levi is a mechanical engineer in Charlotte and Aubingy is a licensed healthcare advocate. The two met at the All-American Pub in Charlotte. Afterward, they left the bar together to go get a cupcake at a local bakery. Since that night they have talked to each other every day!
Levi booked an 11-day euro-trip with the first stop in Paris. On the second night, he made a reservation to a very fancy restaurant and bought Aubigny a lovely dress. She thought he was going to propose at dinner, but he didn’t, so she did not think much about it. They went to the same dance club that they had been to on their first trip to Paris together and walked back to our Airbnb afterward.
As they were walking across the river in front of the Notre Dame he got down on one knee! They both cried and Aubigny said, “yes.” The two enjoy many outdoor activities, but especially love hiking and camping with our dog. They also really enjoy cooking together!
